Photoprotective Covers

For the optimum preservation of Parenteral Formulations

Light is one of the main factors that affect stability and degradation of the components of parenteral nutrition and some drugs. Whilst monolayer and multilayer transparent EVA bags offer different degrees of photoprotection, they are NOT considered as photoprotective, and, for this reason, Clinical Practice Guidelines recommend the use of photoprotective bags for optimal conservation.

The Bexen Medical range of Photoprotective covers provides different solutions for the demands and needs of your bag supply chain processes.

The Bexen Medical range of Photoprotective covers:

Yellow Translucent

These have been designed to preserve the content from vitamin oxidation, peroxidation and photooxidation of drugs. The light transmittance is contained below 10% beyond the nominal 450nm wavelength as determined to be photoprotective by the Pharmacopea.

They are manufactured from Polyethelene material with a zipper closing system. They allow for barcode scanning and are resistant and flexible.

Available in a selection of sizes which are designed to fit over the TPN bags, and can be supplied sterile and non-sterile (see ordering information for details).
